WE ARE EVANOFF, A DENVER BASED TRIO, BRINGING YOU A NEW SOUND WE LIKE TO CALL ‘DREAM-ROCK’
A staple in the Colorado music scene, Evanoff, is a guitar driven live-electronic trio. Defined by a bold live show full of sonic exploration, blending soaring melodies and emotive bass lines. Evanoff continues to be one of the most versatile acts in the ever evolving world of electronic-rock music.
Since 2017, Evanoff has obliterated festival stages all across the country including Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, Hulaween, Resonance, Peach, Joshua Tree, Sonic Bloom, and more.
With another full length album on the way… Evanoff is only just beginning.
Jordan Evanoff (“JJ”), grew up in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, and started playing guitar at the age of 9. He found his love for performing at a young age, while being a part of the “School of Rock”, where he learned and permormed albums such as Pink Floyd’s - The Wall, and The Who’s - Tommy, front to back on guitar. Attending Boulder’s Fairview High School, JJ was involved in many theater productions and sang in the schools choir all 4 years.
He didnt start producing or writing electronic music until he attended CU Denver’s Recording Arts program, where he eventually met his other band mates. The concept for ‘Evanoff’ began as a solo project where JJ would Dj and play guitar over top. Gigging around the city for a little over a year he eventually realized he wanted to turn the project into a full band.
Fast forward to today, and JJ is still living in Denver, CO, where he creates music full time for Evanoff and his solo project Kerala, as well as manages and handles the business side of things for the band.
JJ loves to read, cook eleaborate meals, and take adventures in off the beaten track countries, such as Colombia, Peru, or Cambodia.
Daniel Brennan Forrester (Brennan), grew up in the beautiful mountains of Winter Park, Colorado. He found a love for music after attending many concerts in his high school years, which lead to him attending CU Denver for piano performance.
It was here where he met Jake Hall in their freshman dorms, which lead to a lifelong friendship, and many musical collaborations over the following years.
Brennan is an Ableton master, programming custom M4L devices specifically designed for looping, his work is fundamental in our performances and songwriting. You hear him playing all the crazy bass and key sounds LIVE in all Evanoff performances.
Brennan enjoys teaching piano and music production to kids, and a nice glass of whiskey at the end of a long day.
Jacob Dorval-Hall (Jake), grew up on the coast of Massachusettes, in a little town called Newburyport. He has been playing drums since he was hitting pots and pans in the kitchen at age four.
Jake found online success producing dubstep in highschool, under the moniker ‘miniweapon’, inspiring him to eventually also attend CU Denver for Audio production and drums,
In addition to playing drums in the group, Jake makes most of the crazy sound design you hear in Evanoff songs, and additionally performs bass music under the alias ‘OOMAH’.
Jake enjoys slamming a cold coors, taking hikes in the mountains, and attending as much live music as he can while around Denver.
